A house for the House — An online ecosystem bringing the House of Gucci’s fashion shows to life, adaptable and supportive of various events regardless of style and content.
The House of Gucci asked BASIC/DEPT® to bring creative director Sabato de Sarno’s first fashion show, Ancora, to life online, with one catch - we wouldn’t receive any content until the day of the show. The team and I were autonomous and agile, exploring and prototyping a digital container that could comfortably flex to contain any type of parcel.
With only a few weeks to design, build, and launch, we created an ecosystem that was equipped to showcase content as it was captured at the live show in Milan, and has proven to be adaptable and supportive of various events and shows. Gucci has leveraged this design for all their runway shows since, and for special releases like holiday campaigns as well.
